Fees

UnitingCare Forestville Preschool is a not-for-profit Community Based Preschool. Our Management Committee sets our fees each year based on the NSW Govt Start Strong Program Funding and the expected annual operational budget for the preschool.

The NSW State Government Start Strong program provides funding to deliver affordable quality preschool education for 3 to 5 year old children enrolled in community and mobile preschools in NSW. This funding is designed to significantly reduce preschool fees, making 600 hours of early childhood education more affordable for families.

The NSW government also provides additional fee relief funding enabling NSW preschools to reduce the daily fee as much as possible, within the Start Strong funding parameters.

Preschool services will receive fee relief funding per child to reduce the cost of daily fees for families for 600 hours per year (15 hours – 2days per week).

Start Strong fee relief can only be accessed at one service, either a preschool or long day care service. This ensures as many children as possible can access affordable early childhood education. All parents/legal guardians must complete a Declaration form to nominate which service they will access the fee relief from. The Declaration form must be completed prior to commencement.

The NSW government provides further funding for children who meet the Start Strong Equity funding criteria. Families may be eligible for additional fee relief.
